Spiraea
Another widespread garden escape which seems to be spreading: Spiraea or Bridewort. Flowers may be pink or white. It often forms dense 'hedges' along roadsides. One to watch?
Great minds and all that....... We have been on a quest to identify this plant to species level and have found that some is almost certainly Spiraea douglasii and only this morning I have seen another one in our local Woodland Park that could be salicifolia. Yes, possibly one to watch as with lots of these things the more you look the more you see.
